Emeka Ogboh, Song of the Union, 2021. A co-commission by Edinburgh Art Festival and Talbot Rice Gallery

Emeka Ogboh’s commissioned sound installation at Burns Monument, Edinburgh, responds to Brexit. It features voices of EU citizens singing Auld Lang Syne in their languages, symbolizing solidarity and open doors. The polyphonic choir creates a rich tapestry of language, syntax, cadence, and rhythm.
