MacLellan’s Castle, located in Kirkcudbright, Galloway, Scotland, is a late 16th-century L-plan castle that was home to the MacLellan family. Built on the site of a demolished Greyfriars monastery, it served the family until 1752. Now under Historic Environment Scotland’s care, visitors can explore its great hall, kitchen, and the “Laird’s Lug,” a secret spy-hole behind the fireplace.
