The Summerston Distance Stone at Lambhill Stables Along The Antonine Wall

A replica of A Roman Distance Stone with an inscription commemorating the 2nd Legion. Distance stones were placed along the Antonine Wall to record each section as it was built. The original stone was found in Summerston Farm sometime before 1694 an is now in the Hunterian Museum in Glasgow. The replica was carved by Jo Crossland and Luke Batchelor.
