Sir Walter Scott's Courtroom and Statue
Sir Walter Scotts Courtroom is a direct link to the great writer. As Sheriff of Selkirkshire, Scott dispensed justice here for nearly 30 years until his death in 1832. The 1804 building, with its 100-foot spire, stands in Selkirks Market Place next to a statue of Scott. Visitors can explore the reconstructed courtroom and learn about past crimes
