Carnoustie is a small town on the Angus coast between Dundee and Arbroath, famed for its championship golf course. The famous Carnoustie links has proved a magnetic challenge for golfers of all standards. It was the scene of local lad Paul Lawrie’s heroics in the 1999 Open Championship, when he lifted the famous claret jug.
