What is VisitScotland?

VisitScotland (VS) is Scotland’s national tourism organisation. Its core purpose is to maximise the economic benefits of tourism to Scotland. You can find out more about VisitScotland at www.visitscotland.org.

How much does it cost?

The Toolkit provides a range of ready-to-use media and marketing assets. You can download and use our assets, free of charge, if you are eligible.

Who is eligible?

If you are a tourism related business or media company (broadcasting, publishing, or internet blog) specialising in the visitor market or travel media. You are eligible to register and start using the Toolkit. It’s free, and once you’ve signed up, you can browse our content and request images or videos.

If you are a journalist looking for press releases and story ideas, you can download our articles in html. This format contains written copy and imagery. If you would like to use a different image, search the toolkit to suit your preference. Our editorial and marketing assets are free to use for the promotion of Scotland as a visitor destination.

Licence Rights Managed - VS Editorial A Licence to use assets for editorial purposes, which is, to illustrate an event or story in an article but not commercially such as marketing a product or print ad. An Editorial asset may show a brand, a trademarked logo or product, a public personality, or recognisable people, without a signed release or with limited releases. When you use VisitScotland Editorial content you do so to illustrate Scottish tourism in a positive way.
