VisitScotland responds to FM announcing Scotland will move “beyond level 0”

Proxy

Malcolm Roughead, Chief Executive of VisitScotland, said:“We have already seen the positive effect of easing restrictions in the past few months within hospitality, and the removal of physical distancing will be a big boost to those venues which have struggled due to limited capacity.“However, the health and safety of visitors is a priority and we understand the need to retain certain restrictions, such as face coverings and Test & Protect, and the careful return of large-scale events, as the pandemic remains.“As such, we will continue to work with businesses, and inspire the domestic market to support the industry, as we help to rebuild this vital part of Scotland’s economy in a safe and responsible way.”
